2016 Acura RDX Elite Delivers on Premium Features

The Acura RDX was first seen in 2006 and has evolved to become one of the most successful premium crossovers available. Having originally been designed as a concept, the RDX was designed to become a rival in a competitive market against the likes of the Lexus NX, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

The RDX has earned a positive reputation throughout its lifespan, and the 2016 edition will only add to it. The front-end has been completely restyled to showcase the updated design standard that Acura is implementing throughout its models. The front end is reminiscent of something between the TLX and ILX. Jewel Eye LED headlights and LED taillights borrow from the MDX.

In true Acura fashion, the 2016 RDX is offers a silky smooth ride. Power is directly delivered to the road through it’s rigid six-speed automatic transmission. Paddle shifters allow experienced drivers to take full advantage of its power capabilities with seamless shifting. Responsive acceleration and cornering makes the vehicle feel incredibly light.

The RDX intends to offer a truly dynamic driving experience. Improvements to the all-wheel drive system deliver more power to the rear wheels when it’s needed most. New MacPherson struts in the front, as well as a conventional multi-link structure in the rear, ensures that the ride feels firm but comfortably stable for a crossover.
