Acura begins Production of the TLX In Marysville

Acura has started production of TLX in its Marysville factory in the United States with the aim of boosting sales of the vehicles even more throughout North America.

The Acura TLX arrived in showrooms in August with two possible engine types, both direct injection: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 206 horsepower; and a second 3.5-liter V6 and 290 horsepower.

It also incorporates the latest generation of Honda’s two leading technologies: Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD).

Honda’s luxury brand expects the arrival of the TLX will provide a powerful tool for dealing with brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Audi or Lexus that until now have been taking advantage of strong luxury sales.

“The start of mass production of the TLX marks a new era for our range of Acura sedans,” said Mike Accavitti, vice president and general manager of Acura.
