Canadian Launch of 2017 Acura NSX at CIAS

Acura blog - Feb 22

Acura’s sportiest offering, the legendary NSX, made its 2017 model debut at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) and looks sharper than ever.

The NSX competes with giants such as the McLaren 570S Coupe and the Audi R8. Its V6 hybrid engine packs a punch while allowing for fuel conservation; a unique feature for a vehicle with a racing background. This powerhouse comes with a 3.5 litre twin-turbocharged engine tied to 9-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering 500 horsepower.

The NSX’s power output generates large amounts of heat. To accommodate this, Acura has installed cooling and airflow systems via ten separate heat exchangers. This includes the transmission gear cooler, hybrid power distribution unit and front engine radiators.

The aluminum-based frame provides greater structural integrity, allowing for intense amounts of torque to be handled. New to the NSX are flush-mounted automatic pop-out door handles, LED daytime running lights and LED brake lights. Milano leather and Alcatara-trimmed seats make for a sleek and comfortable interior.
